And the tour starts, now…
Welcome to Taste Travels, a global culinary quest, one cuisine at a time, served alphabetically and best enjoyed with stretchy pants.
Here is the plan: I am eating my way through Toronto’s incredible international food scene, exploring one country’s cuisine after another, from A to Z. Each stop is a new adventure, an edible passport stamp full of bold spices, surprising textures, and the occasional menu item I have to Google under the table. From Afghan Mantu to Zimbabwean Sadza, I am on the hunt for dishes that delight, confuse, and occasionally change my life.
My motto? A humble re-imagining of Tolkien’s timeless words, not about the ring of power, but about the food:
One thing to rule us all,
One thing to find us,
One thing to bring us all,
and in the festiveness bind us.
So come along for the ride, whether you are here for food, culture, or just to judge my food choices from the comfort of your couch. This is not just a blog. It is an epic (and slightly greasy) journey around the world, one bite at a time, a culinary There and Back Again, where the souvenirs are full stomachs and stories worth sharing.
